Cattle

Charolais

Our breeding philosophy for Charolais bulls include minimizing birth concerns, high growth especially weaning, and maximizing carcass values including carcass weight and marbling.

Our goal is to generate bulls that will work great within a commercial cow-calf operation to generate strong terminal calves that will generate dollars whether you sell as a weaned calf or retain ownership through the feedlot phase.

Specific information about the bulls we have for sale and our genetics can be found on the Bulls for Sale tab

Angus

Our breeding philosophy for our Angus cattle include providing quality females that work in a cross-breeding program.  Maximizing heterosis will provide more revenue to your operation.

Females are important within any operation as they are the ones that cost the most to retain within your operation since feeding costs are the largest cost to cattle production.  Our females have been selected from both a phenotypic and genetic perspective.  We like to have quality females that breed, milk, and look good while working.
We practice what we preach and use some cross-breeding.
This is what we are aiming for, calves that wean ~60% of Mom's weight
Small portion of our cow herd, showing the fleshing ability even at weaning
1105 - 1st calf Gridmaker daughter after nursing Smokin Gun all summer
232 - Mother of Montana 1325 shown after raising a calf all summer, in a drought year
Bulls on the move, lots of flex and give to legs -- Structurally sound
We don't feed our cows over the winter live on stalks and wheat
